1. HISPANIC MINISTRY

Join us for the afternoon service today. It begins at 1 PM and will be bilingual {Spanish & English}. Friday evenings we meet for bi-lingual Bible Study at 7:30 PM.

2. EVENING SERVICE/DEDICATION FOR CHILDREN

Please join us for our Sunday Evening Service tonight at 6 PM.

3. LifE groups

Start the New Year out right by joining a Life Group! Pastor Rice, Pastor Duble and Elder Joe Kasberg’s groups will meet Wednesday, January 30. Pastor Miller’s group meets on Saturdays.

4. wOMEN’S MINISTRY

All women are invited to join in the fun at A Taste of Judah on Saturday, February 2, from 11 am to 1 pm. Bring an ethnic dish to share and five copies of the recipe for the dish. We will eat, fellowship, and have a recipe exchange. Contact Aisha Saunders (491-8255) if you have any questions.

5. GRACE EQUIPPERS

Grace Equippers needs a few good men to help us with a paint job fundraiser this Saturday, February 2, 2008. To volunteer, please see Pastor Martin or Paul Fishman, or call 235-0670.

6. MANOR OUTREACH

Sunday, February 3, at 3 pm and Monday, February 4, at 6:30 pm we will visit with and minister to the residents of the Manor at Whitehall. If you’d like to join us, please see Lowell Bower (531-9357).

7. POWERUP CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

All Children’s Ministry workers, please meet on Saturday, February 9, at 2 PM. If you have questions or concerns, see Shonda Wright (288-7045).

8. MEN’S RETREAT

Christian Community Church North and Judah are teaming up for a Men’s Retreat to be held Friday, February 22, and Saturday, February 23, at Camp McPherson in Danville, Ohio (outside Mohican State Park). Our own Pastor Gerald Rice will be speaking on the topic “When Men Become Men”. See Larry Thomas today to register.

9. JCC HOSPITAL MINISTRY

the Hospital Ministry is seeking volunteers to visit those who are confined for any period of time. There will be a training class and information given concerning hospital visitation etiquette. If you are full of compassion and want to encourage someone who needs it, please sign up in the foyer. See Elder Cleola Ballour if you have questions.

Take a CD and/or Tape to a friend, loved one, shut in or anyone who needs a word of edification, exhortation or comfort. Visit our Media Table located in the foyer immediately after service!

During our usual Morning Glory Prayer Meeting on Friday, we started singing the song, “Because of Who You Are”.

As we concluded the song as we know it, we began to spontaneously sing out some of the other awesome things that God is to us. Then we began to recall who we are in Him:

Bearers of His Name

Holy Ghost Anointed

Co-laborers and partners with Him

Enforcers of the victory of Calvary

Authorized dealers of the glory

Blessings of God

Remembering who God is and who you are not only transforms your worship but it will also empower your intercession.
